Frank Guille for Kandya, a set of four yellow painted 'Jason' chairs, model C3 designed 1950s, with painted plywood seat on thin steel rod legs, Kandya labels to two CONDITION REPORT: All seat screws exposed with chipping to screw surround, one seat repaired by back screw, seat surrounds all chipped at its worst at back and seat joints, 2 labels missing and other two rubbed, all legs noticeably chipped.
A Time-Life desk chair, after a design by Charles Eames, in black leather and chrome with button back and seat on four spoke chrome base CONDITION REPORT: Leather stained, particularly at sides of back cushions. Seat with stains at the back. Ribbing surround worn in places but leather generally firm and good. Sound on base and revolves well. No labels found. It is possible it originally had castors which have been switched for plastic glides, and the usual oval disk replaced with an adjustment lever. Possibly a European version as others of this design have been sold at auction in France. Property of a late of title, who with her late husband built up an important collection 20th Century art and design in the 1970s and '80s.
