A Regency mahogany framed two seat salon sofa, the frame with reeded decoration, the scroll arms on turned tapering and reeded supports, the upholstered back, arms and seat raised on turned ringed and reeded tapering front legs to peg feet 76 cm x 106 cm x 52 cm CONDITION REPORTS 76 cm in height x 106 cm in length x 56 cm in depth. The upholstery has some small areas of discolouration and staining, frame has various scratches, knocks, holes and appears to have had some filling-in which looks as though it is along the line of the previous upholstery. Has some splits and chips all over, general wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for further details
A 19th Century mahogany framed bergère library chair with caned back and arms and upholstered seat, the turned and ringed arm supports, raised on turned and ringed front legs and swept back legs, to brass caps and china castors CONDITION REPORTS No obvious signs that the seat was once caned. There is a hole to the caning on the back - see images. Various marks, scratches, scuffs, impressed marks to the body throughout, so,e stains to the seat. The front castors do not match each other or the back castors. Various general signs of wear and tear throughout
A 19th Century piano stool, the upholstered box top with blue and pink floral decoration and iron adjustable 'H. Brooks' patent action, raised on a gilt base on four turned and carved legs with stylised leaf decoration (each unscrewing for transport) 43 cm x 52 cm CONDITION REPORTS The gilding is worn and flaking in various areas all over and the upholstery is stained and some fraying, the seat is dipping to the centre. There are splits to the rails, one leg does not sit tightly in position and has a piece of card wedged under it. Various cracks and repairs throughout, general wear and tear conducive with age and use. United States - The Exiles Of Florida by Joshua R. Giddings 1858 - History of the exodus of slaves from Georgia and Carolina to the Florida territory, where, under Spanish law, they became free. A history of the efforts of slaveholders and the United states military to repatriate escaped slaves living in Florida and to subdue their Indian allies during the two Seminole Wars. (Joshua Reed Giddings (October 6, 1795 - May 27, 1864) was an American attorney, politician and a prominent opponent of slavery. He represented Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1838 - 59. He was at first a member of the Whig Party and was later a Republican, helping found the part. Giddings was censured in 1842 for violating the gag rule against discussing slavery in the House of Representatives when he proposed a number of Resolutions arguing against federal support for the coastwise slave trade, in relation to the Creole case. He quickly resigned, but was overwhelmingly re-elected by his Ohio constituents in a special election to fill the vacant seat. He returned to the House and served a total of nearly twenty more years as representative). A prominent Anti-slavery book published just before the Civil War.

Condition report: Frames in average condition, the two single chairs with brown pot casters, sofa with white pot casters, although metal fittings the same, ideally would benefit from the suite being re-upholstered and the frames being re-glued.
