Manner of Jean Antoine Watteau A Fete Galante with figures in pastoral landscapes oil on panel, framed as a tryptych in a gilt Rococo-style frame 28 x 34cm (11 x 13in) Provenance: The Dowager`s Bedroom, Warwick Castle, formerly the seat of the Earls of Warwick Overall size is 28 x 34cm. A few very old areas of paint loss and abrasion. Otherwise paint layer appears stable. Varnish layer degraded and yellowed. Scattered areas of retouching.The feet of the gilt frame have broken off and are missing. The painting is quite dirty. Circa 1860.
Captain Robert Melville Grindley (British, 19th Century) Civita Castellana, 1813; and Villa Somariva, Lago di Como signed and inscribed with title to the reverse ""R Melville Grindley, Nice 1862""; and ""drawn from nature Juin 1842"" oil on panel, in a painted black carved frame (a pair), 13 x 17cm and 20 x 24cm Provenance: Warwick Castle, formerly the seat of the Earls of Warwick and given to the Countess of Warwick in 1842. Civita Castellana is a town and comune in the province of Viterbo, 40 miles north of Rome. Probably mounted originally on a polescreen. Quite dirty and with scratches to the sky. Joints are opening on the frame. Como - Oil on artist board. Scuffs to paint layer and paper support. Uneven and yellowed varnish leading to uneven gloss. Some losses to frame and dusty. The blacks coalescing and is quite dirty. Castellana - Looks to be oil on paper mounted onto board. Small lossed to paint layer but generally sound. Uneven surface texture, some discolouration.
English School (early 19th Century) Portrait of Lady Augusta Greville, half length, seated inscribed lower right ""Augusta, Aug. 26 1811"" chalks, in a red leather case 24 x 18cm (9 x 7in) Provenance: Warwick Castle, formerly the seat of the Earls of Warwick Lady Augusta Greville, daughter of George, 2nd Earl of Warwick, married Heneage, 5th Earl of Aylesford. Case is rather wobbly but the image appears fine.

Italian School (19th Century) Mythological figures - Minerva and Hope in mandorla, in the early Quattrocento style oil on poplar panel, box framed, a pair 41 x 51cm (16 x 20in) Provenance: Warwick Castle, formerly the seat of the Earls of Warwick Dirty and distressed. Various scuffs and scratches and scattered paint losses. One has a crack in the panel runing horizontally approx 1 in down from the top.
An overdoor, with central shell decoration, and eagles on either side, from the Italian Room at Warwick Castle - originally part of the frame for a portrait of Lady Waldegrave, sight size 46 x 134cm, external size 80 x 170cm Provenance: Warwick Castle, formerly the seat of the Earls of Warwick This is half a frame - however gilding and condition look fine.
