After Meissen Romantic Figure Group showing a young couple in 18thC dress, in a countryside setting, seated as if in a 'love seat', facing in opposite directions but still gazing at each other; the gentleman has gathered flowers with which he is adorning the lady, the rest being carried in his hat; on the floor rest a set of bagpipes and a walking stick; 7.75 inches high; underglaze blue crossed 'swords' with blue line across plus incised 866 QH to underside (losses to flowers and ribbon, chips to base edge)
Scarce Pair of Cavalry Riding Overall Trousers dark blue melton trousers with two full length red side lines. The seat, full length of inner leg, left outer leg side panel and base of trousers with leather covering. Wide base of trousers with boot straps. The chairs having a sabre leg that also makes up as the back rest having a spindle gallery, the seat being studded leather on plywood and having a metal wire arm attached to the side that comes down as the back leg, similar schools of design from the Bauhaus movement at this time. Measures 85cm x 42cm x 50cm.
