A PAIR OF EARLY 20TH CENTURY FRENCH TAN LEATHER EASY ARMCHAIRS (2)With brass studded decoration, 90cm wide; 88cm highCondition report: The seat is 46cm high from floor to top of seat cushion. The internal measurement varies, from the widest point inside the arm to arm the width is 53cm wide and 56cm deep approximately. The external measurement is 74.cm deep from the back of the seat to the front of the arm, and 90cm wide from the outside edge of both arms. The chairs are worn, joints a little loose and with various losses and wear to the leather requiring an overhaul. Please see images to illustrate the state of the leather - numerous tears, rips, dryness and cracking together with small holes, like a wood worm hole.One back leg with losss due to worm and with extending worm holes in areas.

No obvious signs of wood worm. 43.5cm high from floor to top of seat.
19th century carved oak Wainscott type chair, the back with carved decoration of flowers, flower heads and foliage, with shaped open arms and solid seat on baluster turned legs and bobbin turned stretcher. 135cm high approximately.(B.P. 21% + VAT) Some movement to chair and some joins are loose. Heavy wear in places including losses to legs - appearing to have been chewed. General wear, scratches with age etc.

A little faded in places. Upholstery good. Leather panels have suffered losses.

Rustic condition overall. Probably split to back leg which may have been repaired. Split to seat and general wear and tear. Appears to have replacement piece of wood to back of settle for support.
