A 17th Century style oak boxed seat stool with single piece top and moulded edge over slightly canted sides with foliate carved medallions raised on carved and fluted cup and covers to block feet united by a centre stretcher CONDITION REPORTS Upon further inspection it appears that the attribution to the 17th Century may be optimistic. Whilst it is quite probable that there are early components, the piece seems to be in all likelihood either 20th Century in construction or possibly 19th Century with later alterations. See images for further information.
