AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY (AND LATER) CARVED OAK BOX SETTLE having a moulded top-rail, carved S-scroll frieze, three carved panels, the centre panel with initials HGW and date 1704, four lozenge carved panels, down-swept open arms and the hinged box seat, the facia with carved rails and panels. 111cm(h) x 137cm(w) x 55cm(d) CONDITION: Some splits and old worm damage, seat section and some timbers and pegged joints appear later, a possible adaptation, viewing advised.
