It has benefited from a no expense spared policy in respect of care and maintenance which is supported by a large quantity of receipts, many of which are main dealer, from 1999 to 2020. The original service book containing twenty-six entries between 1996 and 2016, original bill of sale, sales brochure, handbooks, wallet and spare key complete the file. 1968 BSA Bantam D14/4Make: BSA Model: Bantam D14/4Year: 1968Mileage: 20429VIN: D14B9138Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: SBW11GTransmission: Contact AuctioneerThe vendor bought this 1968 BSA, registered in October of that year, from its last owner in 2004, after it had been sitting unused in his shed for many years. The engine was seized, so was rebuilt, as were the frame and forks with many new parts. We're told that the bike starts and runs, with a new battery recently fitted. The barrel has been re-bored to over its maximum size, and while the silencer is good, the vendor notes that its chrome is faded and it has some small dents. The seat is worn, but the bike comes with a new cover, which will need fitting. The Bantam's odometer shows 20,429 miles, although this is not warranted. The paperwork file includes the V5C plus a copy of the original green logbook. There's also a copy of the new application for the retention of the original registration number.

The estate was registered in August 1998 and is showing 85,465 miles on its odometer. There is no current MoT; its last expired in January 2021, having been undertaken in July 2019 at 81,141 miles.
