An oak hall settle circa 18th century, with panelled back above hinged plank seat and further panelling to front, 101cm high x 185cm wide x 52cm deep CONDITION REPORT: Lot 467 - scratches, chips and marks allover, seat has warped so catches slightly hen lifted, looks like original seat banding has been replaces by later hinges, old worm holes present, cracks and splits to wood
A Victorian mahogany framed brown leather button back armchair with serpentine fronted seat, raised on turned and carved front legs to brass caps and brown china castors CONDITION REPORTS Approx 101 cm high x approx 68 cm wide x approx 71 cm deep. Frame is loose especially to the right hand arm. Castors need re-attaching. No signs of worm but other insect damage and animal damage is evident. Heavy wear and tear throughout to include old repairs, etc. In need of TLC. See images for further details.
A Victorian three seat sofa in pale green button back upholstery, the stained frame topped by floral carvings to the serpentine top rail, the serpentine seat raised on carved cabriole legs CONDITION REPORTS Frame is wobbly and appears to have had some repairs and patching - general wear and tear to include scratches, loss to varnish, some miinor losses to the carving. Approx 194 cm in length x 1m tall x 84 cm in depth. General wear and tear conducive with age and use to include some fading and staining to the upholstery - see images for further details
A 19th Century mahogany partner's desk with a red leather tooled and gilded inset top, raised on a pedestal base of assorted drawers and cupboard doors CONDITION REPORTS Has general wear and tear to include some splits, scuffs, cracks, knocks, etc. Appears to have been re-conditioned / restored at some point. Has scuffs at the edges as if knocked by chair seat, etc. There is a section of moulding missing to one corner. Approx 99 cm x 129 cm x 77 cm high.
A 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN WALNUT FRAMED ARMCHAIR with shaped plywood seat and back, stamped to back 'GARDNERS PATENT MAY 21 1872' NOTE: This chair was produced by the firm of Gardner & Co. The patent refers to the one-piece plywood seat and back, an early use for this material. Similar chairs are in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and Metropolitan Museum of Art
