An 18th century primitive elm child's chair, of joined construction, having a one-piece seat and on octagonal flaring supports, seat w.48cm, h.30cm, d.32cmAppears to have been painted red at some point, which has largely worn off.Sturdy and in generally good order.Very rustic in appearance.

Water marks to the leather seat and drying out cracks forming from the back-left leg. Chair two - the frame is loose. Mild water splash marks and wear to the leatherwork. Large age-related crack forming around a knot halfway down the front-right leg. Some shrinkage of the wood causing the pegs at the bottom of the back legs to protrude. Chair Three - frame a little loose. Some water marks and wear to the leather seat. Otherwise OK.

In very good and clean condition with great fabric covering. Appears to function correctly.
