A PAIR OF ARTS AND CRAFTS OAK AND LEATHER STOOLS, BY ARTHUR SIMPSON, each with a slightly concave leather strapwork seat with brass studs, raised on square tapering legs, one labelled 'Arthur W. Simpson/ The Handicrafts/ Kendal' and numbered 5134. 25.5cm high, 41cm wide, 31cm deepCONDITION REPORTThe leather straps are sound. There is a split to the top of one leg to the unmarked stool but this stool like the other is still structurally sound. General surface marks commensurate with age and use but generally in reasonable condition.
A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY AND UPHOLSTERED SETTEE, with foliate carved crest and scroll arms, raised on cabriole legs and moving on castors. 137cm longCONDITION REPORTMaximum depth approximately 59cm, maximum height approximately 97cm, maximum width approximately 138.5cm. The seat upholstery slightly discoloured in places but the back panel and arms are OK. No woodworm. One castor to one of the back legs is replaced. Height of seat approximately 40cm. There is small split to the front rail of the seat where the carving is and there are a few small losses and surface marks to the frame. The frame is turdy and of a nice colour.

Height of back 101cm highCONDITION REPORTThe upper comb of the back is slightly loose and two modern screws have been inserted. A hole in the seat at the rear where a knot is. 8 inch split to the front right corner of the seat which runs through the leg hole. Repair to one stretcher. Some remnants of paint to the underside.

A pine single hand thirty hour longcase clock, signed Tho Wentworth, Sarrum Case with wood worm holes. Case with cracks in parts. Trunk door with later lock. Trunk door is slightly bowed. Inside wooden side cheeks have been added to secure the original side cheeks. Later seat board. Dial plate is bent to the top right-hand corner and with a chip. Dial is dirty. Later hand movement is complete. With one weight. No key and no pendulum.
