(including two vign. title-pages), all plts. with tissue guard, some with additional tissue guard printed with outline key, old waterstains to First Series title and prelims., some spotting (mainly to both list of plts.), a.e.g., contemp. gilt-panelled red. morocco by J. Wright, gilt-dec. spine with raised bands, rubbed and somewhat darkened, wear to extremities, corners bumped (with boards showing through), tall folio (1)

A Coalbrookdale Oak and Ivy pattern cast iron seat circa 1870 fully stamped C B Dale and with registration number and model number 155cm.; 61ins wide The original design, number 119253, was registered and patented by the Coalbrookdale Iron Foundry at the Public Record office on 8th March 1859, and is seat number 30 in their 1875 Castings Catalogue. It was designed by the sculptor John Bell, one of Coalbrookdale’s principal designers, whose famous Deerhound Centre Table was exhibited at the 1855 Universal Exhibition, and which is now in the Iron Bridge Gorge Museum, Shropshire.

A Coalbrookdale Lily of the Valley pattern seat circa 1870 fully stamped unusually this seat also has 5ft on the back denoting its size 158cm.; 62ins wide This design, number 171578 was registered and patented at the Public Records Office on the 8th February 1864 by Coalbrookdale and was seat number 36 in their castings catalogue of 1875.
