Rare early 19th century yew, fruitwood and elm stick back chair, vase shaped splat with pierced Prince of Wales feathers, solid saddle seat on turned legs and stretchersProvenance: Estate of the late Jane SumnerCondition report: One of the roundals on the central splat appears to have been replaced and has small associated loss beneath it and a split above. The back has some minor splits and there are isolated old worm holes to both back and sticks of back. The seat also has some old worm holes and related damage. Some worm on the seat appearing to require treatment (possibly live). The stretchers are all solid, although may have been glued at some stage. Central stretcher and one side stretcher may be later replacements. One of the front legs is slightly loose from the seat and has a losses to the end. One other leg also has losses to the end. The other front leg has various losses where it joins the stretcher.
