A Harlequin Set of Eight Charles II Joined Oak Back Stools, late 17th century, comprising a set of three with scrolled top rails above pierced splats and solid boarded seats, with turned and block forelegs joined by bobbin stretchers, 47cm by 37cm by 106cm, a pair with shaped top rails above plain splats and boarded seats, the legs joined by turned stretcher, 48cm by 39cm by 102cm, and three singles with shaped top rails above moulded upright splats and boarded seats, on turned and block forelegs, 48cm by 39cm by 103cmStool one - back support is slightly loose, seat split and rear-left leg repaired. Stool two - boarded seat split, otherwise structurally sound and in good condition. Stool three - numerous old decay, some movement in the back support, split in boarded seat, feet also re-tipped. Stool four - movement in back support, boarded seat split, feet re-tipped and some slight movement in joints. Stool five - feet re-tipped, boarded seat with a small split, structurally OK. Stool six - structurally sound, small split in seat. Stool seven - some movement in joints, natural gap in the boarded seat. Stool eight - structurally sound and feet re-tipped, stretcher replaced at the back of the front turned stretcher. All stools have typical old decay. Height of each seat are as follows: 45cm, 47cm, 45cm, 47cm, 46cm, 47cm, 47cm and 46cm respectively.

A Harlequin Set of Eight Mid 19th Century Yew and Ash Windsor Armchairs, comprising a high-back armchair with triple pierced splat, spindle supports and moulded seat on ring-turned legs joined by a crinoline stretcher, 58cm by 49cm by 110cm, four similar armchairs with double pierced splats, elm moulded seats and triple spindle turned legs joined by a crinoline stretcher, 52cm by 40cm by 92cm, and three similar armchairs with single turned spindle forelegs joined by a crinoline stretcher, 52cm by 40cm by 92cmWindsor chair one - slight movement in joints and with curved back rail (as photographed). Small dowel repair to one of the spindles, and also a small dowel repair on seat. Chair two - slight movement in joints due to various natural? splitting throughout the curved arms, back support and spindles (see images). Chair three - structurally sound, small fault to crinoline stretcher. Chair four - movement in joints mainly to the legs, three legs are loose, small split in front arm (as photographed), stretcher loose - this needs attention. Chair five - structurally sound, with small repair to two dowels. Chair six - structurally sound, some natural? splitting to the curved arms, left-front leg with wear around the crinoline stretcher, also one of the stretchers with a small repair. High back armchair structurally sound however, there is a split to the moulded seat, the feet have been re-tipped to add height.
A Harlequin Set of Eight (6+2) 19th Century Mahogany Dining Chairs, all recovered in black and gold floral fabric, the six single chairs with reeded curved top rails and overstuffed seats, four on turned forelegs, two on square tapering legs, all 50cm by 43cm by 86cm, and a pair of armchairs, with spindle turned arm supports, drop-in seats with plain seat rails and square forelegs joined by an H stretcher, 50cm by 43cm by 86cm
A Set of Six George III Mahogany Dining Chairs, circa 1800, covered in green velvet, the C scroll top rails above Gothic tracery carved splats and drop-in seats with plain seat rail, on square chamfered legs joined by an H stretcher, 54cm by 45cm by 95cmAll chairs are structurally sound with the exception of one of the single chairs. The top rail on this chair has some movement (as photographed). Two of the other chairs have a repair on the top rail. All chairs have had some strengthening work around the frames with later brackets added to the underside. One of the single chairs with a gap/split on the front-right leg (as photographed). General scuffs around the legs and framework consistent with age. Green upholstered seats are slightly faded and with some marks.
