A piece of braced triangular section duralumin spar from a British airship. Mounted on a triangular wooden base with a similar wooden top to create a small seat or table. The base has an oval plaque, ‘Part of the frame of R.38 wrecked at Hull August 24th 1921’. Overall height 36cm. GC for age, some wear overall. See Plate.14

A GOOD SET OF EIGHT REGENCY MAHOGANY DINING CHAIRS comprising six single chairs and two carver chairs, each with broad curved top-rails with reed moulded decoration, slender mid-rail and conforming uprights scrolled at the capital, the tapering drop-in seats raised on a plan seat-rail and turned, tapering and reeded front legs linked by turned X-form stretchers, the two carver chairs with heavily scrolled open arms. 84cm(h) Condition Report: Small splits to top rail and upright of one carver chair, split to top-rail of one single chair and to one upright of one single chair, hammer marks and holes to one chairs rear legs at joints, seats re-covered, minor marks and scratches, overall an attractive set.
