Six Anglo-Dutch carved walnut chairs, in the manner of Thomas and Richard Roberts, Ca. 1710, H ca. 120 cm (back), H ca. 48 cm (seat), A near set, comprising a set of three chairs, a pair and a single chair, each with a pierced and slightly curved back, the shaped splat and cresting decorated with scolling foliage, scallop shells, and Marot style mouldings, above a padded seat, on curved scrolling legs ending in hoof feet, joined by a curving H-shaped stretcher.
