The fine mid-19th century childhood Dolls' House of Katherine Jeffray (1841-1929), an important English simulated stone painted wooden dolls' house, on detachable wooden stand with four turned legs terminating in lacquered brass castors, the breakfront three-bay façade with two storeys, the central key-lockable wood-grained four-panelled front door with brass knob, opening, with concealed hook releasing to open the whole front of the house, the door framed by pilastered Tuscan portico and painted glass Adam-style semi-circular fanlight above, roof pediment, five large twelve-light windows to the front and two to each end, grey-painted tiled pitched roof, trough gutter, stone painted chimney at each end with two angled upper sections, two flues to each chimney, the front opening to the left of the front door in two parts to reveal four large rooms with original decoration and furnishings, the ground floor on the left, kitchen with wooden fitted blackened range, burgundy, black and cream plaid wallpaper, painted paper marblised ceiling paper, blue and brown patterned glazed cotton chintz curtains, rush-effect embossed oil-cloth floor, a tin spit with 'clockwork' bottle jack on stand with drip tray, basting spoon and skimming spoon, Evans & Cartwright painted tinplate - yellow rush seat chair, yellow log basket and green kettle, six tin graduated meat covers, two copper kettles, six pewter platters with embossed food and a similar basket, a wooden birdcage with yellow feather canary and two Grödnerthal female servants (one missing legs); Family tree - Grandparents Paternal - James Jeffray 1759-1848 was a Professor and born in Aberdeen, his wife was Margaret Lockhart 1775-1864 born in Stirling, Grandparents Maternal - Thomas Millar (Preston), 1767-1840 and his wife Catherine May, 1775-1844, Parents - Rev Lockhart William Jeffray, rector at Aldford, Cheshire (1815-1862) and Catherine Millar (1809-1900) born in Preston, Catherine Millar’s siblings - Anne Marshall (1800), Elisa Horrocks (1804), Thomas (1811-1865) married Henrietta Pitt (Winckley Preston), Mary Cairns (1812) and Henry (1813) married Caroline Robbins (Thistleton), Katherine Jeffray who owned the dolls' house was born in 1841 and died in 1927.Married Archibald Hamilton, 29th May 1867 at St Mary’s, Windermere.Children - Alexander Cairns Hamilton (1878-1928), Lilihs, Elsie (1869-1960) and Stella (1872-1955)

An Edwardian stained beech ship's swivel open armchair by A Blain & Son, Liverpool,: the bow back over a vase shaped splat and ring turned supports over a stuff over seat, stamped as per title to underneath, raised on a cast iron dolphin tripod support stamped en suite and mounted on a wooden base. 82cm high
A late 19th century mahogany stool. With a bergere seat and turned supports, L113cm x D33cm x H41cm Condition Report: Cane top is in good condition. Overall condition of the piece is good, with marks and wear in places commensurate with age and previous use. No obvious sign of major damage or repair.
A chrome and black leather adjustable swivel chair. Circa 1970s, with buttoned black leather and padded arms, on four chrome legs and casters (tears to leather), H86cm Condition Report: Multiple scuffs, rubbing and splits to the leather, mainly to the seat, arms and along the top. Back has rubbing. Swivels but is wobbly. Would benefit from a clean. Some water stains. Metal frame has some scratches and knocks consistent with age and usage. Seat is comfortable.
Chinese hardwood firescreen, decorated with an embroidered panel of a dragon, beneath glass, 86cm high and 63.5cm wide, also a 19th century papier mâché bedroom chair, decorated with abalone shell and gilt, 83cm high. (2)CONDITION REPORT: The firescreen has various scratches to the left hand side, the panel is in good condition. There are signs of cracks on the back panels where the embroidered panel is pinned to. The chair has pieces of shell missing. The gilt is worn around the seat and back.
19th century continental carved oak hall bench decorated with carved floral, fruit, vine and acanthus panels, with a carved silhouette figure panel to each side, 124cm high, 116cm wide and 70cm deep, with later seat and back panel.CONDITION REPORT: This is not sturdy. The side is a bit loose to the touch. There are splits to the joins. There are old chips, nibbles and scratches to the wood. Probably has been stained at some point. The front panel is loose. There are old nails with holes to the top rail of the reverse. Some of the covering is affixed so can't see beneath it.
