It is fitted with grab handles, knobbly tyres, later telescopic front forks and dual seat. Now requiring full restoration this rare machine is worthy of restoration to its original specification. A Norton International Model 30 café racer restoration project, silver. This exciting International project has been café racerised and features a glass fibre Manx style petrol tank, twin leading shoe ventilated front brake, road holder forks, ventilated rear brake, clip ons, alloy oil tank and cut down primary chain case exposing the chain and clutch. The Norton is not fitted with any lighting equipment and the rear seat unit is missing. An exciting project which is now ready to be restored to the next custodian's own specification. A 1975 Moto Guzzi California 850T, unregistered, frame number VD 11871, black and white. Moto Guzzi's California was unashamedly inspired by the American cruisers and was marketed in the USA as the Eldorado. The styling incorporated a comfortable buddy seat, cow horn handlebars and foot boards. This example was imported by the vendor from an important European collection. It is presented in very original condition and is equipped with panniers and fly screen. The accompanying history contains the Dutch registration documents, receipts, handbooks and the correct paperwork to enable registration. No MOT See illustration
A 1960 Norton Dominator 99 café racer, registration number 715 UYL, silver. During the 1950s and 60s young enthusiasts were modifying production bikes with clip on handlebars, rear sets, engine tweaks and other personal touches to emulate the GP bikes of the day. They became known as café racers after the locations these 'Ton-Up Boys' hung out. This example is fitted with all the usual goodies including rear sets, clip ons, a single bump seat and Manx style petrol tank. Having formed part of a private collection the motorcycle is now only for sale due to the vendor rationalising his collection. A 1952 BSA A10 Gold Flash, registration number OHW 290, silver. This two owner from new Gold Flash has been stored by the vendor. He acquired the BSA from the first owner a Mr Cedric Graham Cox, from Claverham, Bristol in 2010. The BSAs rebuild was subsequently finished in the summer of 2015. During the rebuild the BSA was resprayed, the engine was stripped and found to be in good condition so was reassembled with new gaskets, the wheels were rebuilt with new rims and spokes, the exhausts were replaced, the seat was recovered and a new horn and battery were fitted. Since the rebuild the BSA has only had a few shake down miles and will still require further running in by the next owner. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration
A 1979 Yamaha DT175 MX, registration number BAM 98V, frame number 2K4017184, engine number 2K417184, white and blue. This particular DT175 has been rebuilt by the vendor to a good standard, including the engine which has new piston rings and main bearings, been rebored and all seals have been replaced, the clutch plates have also been replaced and the engine still requires running in. Further restoration has included refurbishment of the wheels with new rims and spokes, tyres and other components including chain sprockets and seat cover. V5C, no MOT See illustration
A 1977 Mototrans Ducatti 250 Strada 250 café racer, registration number UOD 961R, frame number MD42499, engine number MD250 402492, red. Mototrans built Ducatti singles under license in Spain in various configurations, from 175cc to 350cc. This particular 250 has been rebuilt in café racer style by its engineer owner. Finished in red with a bikini fairing, single seat unit, clip ons, rear sets and alloy rim wheels. The rebuild was constructed with parts purchased from Lacey Ducatti. Since the rebuild the vendor has covered only a few miles attending local motorcycle events. The Ducatti is offered for auction with receipts from the vendor and previous owners, and past MOTs. A 1972/73 AJS Stormer 410 scrambler, orange. The AJS Stormer was available in three engine sizes 250, 370 and 410cc. They are popular machines in historic scrambling twin shock classes and the Stormer still enjoys a full spares back up from AJS Motorcycles of Andover, from proprietor L Fluff Brown who bought the project rights from the factory in 1974. This particular Stormer 410 has been restored by the vendor with powder coated frame, new tyres and tubes, recovered seat, rechromed fork legs with new oil seals, new levers, throttle and cables, a new exhaust, new chain, new rear suspension units, electronic ignition and the engine has been rebuilt with new piston, oil seals and other components. The vendor also informs us that since the rebuild the engine has not been started. No paperwork See illustration
