A Fine Charles II Carved & Upholstered Stool. The broken S-scroll legs united by a turned H-form stretcher and pierced scrolling rails to the front and back carved with putti bearing a crown. The rectangular padded seat covered in a 16th century reproduction fabric edge in fringing, 20 ins (51 cms) high, 23 inx 15 ins (58 cm x 38 cms).
Three Odd Late 17th/Early 18th Century Joined Oak Side Chairs (A/F). One 18th century with shaped cresting rail, fielded panel back, plank seat, baluster & block legs joined by reel turned front stretcher. One late 17th with shaped cresting rail, four splats (one replaced) incised with trellis decoration, lobe-finialed uprights, plank seat, baluster & block legs & twinned baluster turned front stretcher. The third with a narrow moulded central panel flanked by moulded uprights, plank seat, baluster & block legs with twinned baluster turned front stretcher.
An Early 19th Century Welsh Ash & Elm Bentwood Child's Chair, attributed to Dre-fach Felindre, Carmartenshire. The back composed of bowed ash straps piercing through chamfered uprights. The thick D-shaped elm slab seat on splayed rustic legs, 23¾ ins (53 cms) high, 15 ins (38 cms) wide, 10½ ins (27 cms) deep.
A 17th Century Joined Oak Settle. The top rail having an incised & punched channel and a chip-carved edge above three upper panels of linked daisy-wheels divided by chip carved muntins and four lower panels. The scroll end arms on turned posts leading down to a shallow box form seat with two hinged lids rising to reveal the frieze compartment standing on turned legs with front & side stretchers connecting to the rear base panelling, 53 ins (135 cms) wide, 46 ins (117 cms) in height.
An Elizabethan Carved & Inlaid Oak Wainscot Chair, attributed to Exeter, Circa 1590-1600. The top rail boldly carved with typical chain link ornamentation and surmounted by a pierced crest with central lion-mask flanked by voluted scrolls. The arcaded back panel inlaid with flowering stems of foliage and having carved fleur-de-lis adorning the corners with palmate uprights. The swept arms on plain gun barrel turned posts leading down to the planked seat above lunette carved rails and similarly turned legs united by peripheral stretchers. 46 ins (117 cms) high, 22 ins (56 cms) deep, 24 ins (61 cms) wide.
