A large late Victorian carved oak ecclesiastical chair, the rope twist cresting rail carved with paterae above the solid seat and ornate curved legs, the outsides decorated with leaf carved vines and applied shield-shaped motifs, with entwined monogram on gilt background, raised on splay legs, 28in. wide.

(111.8cm.) high, 80in. (203cm.) wide, 24sin. (62cm.) deep, the seat - 17sin. (44.5cm.) high The design for the present seat appears as No.405 'The Blenheim Seat', page 43, Section V in the Pulham catalogue of Garden Ornament from the early 20th Century.
