John Eastern & Sons of 5 Market Place, (East side Lowgate) Hull are listed as furnishing warehousemen in the 1892 census.
An Arts and Crafts oak hall bench with stylised floral decorated embossed copper panel to the back, pierced invert heart shaped splat to each side, and shaped seat above two short drawers raised on square section legs, width 107cm.Additional InformationHeight 81cm, depth 44cm. This bench has probably been reduced from a larger piece of furniture but this does not detract from it being an attractive piece, general surface wear and scratches throughout.
