POSSIBLY CARLO BUGATTI (1856-1940) EBONISED AND INLAID, WALNUT, LEATHER AND VELLUM PIANO STOOL IN THE MOORISH STYLE, the show wood frame with stylised floral inlay in pewter and copper, housing floral painted and kufic inscribed vellum panels, set beneath a seat with wing type sides, internally covered in vellum and outlined in embossed copper and with conforming embossed copper side panels to the exterior, raised on embossed copper clad turned supports with stepped, conical feet, 23 ½" (59.7cm) high, 27" x 17 ¾" (68.6cm x 45.1cm) Seat upholstery and cover missing but copper border present, vellum with tears and losses, the shaped walnut pieces inbetween the painted panels to all sides with minor losses and may originally have had suspended tassle type decoration? Five short turned finials missing and usual minor losses to the inlays
