A Victorian walnut ladies armchair, with deep buttoned back, padded arms, stuffover seat and foliate carved and pierced exposed moulded (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The height to the highest part of the seat is approximately 40 cm. The chair is structurally very sound, there are no loose joints. There do not appear to be any repairs to the legs and the castors are original. There are some minor marks and scuffs to the frame as one would expect but no significant issues. The upholstery is in generally good order and if the colour scheme fits is perfectly serviceable. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.

An 18th century walnut longcase clock, with arched hood and dial, by Geo. Clarke, Leadenhall Street, London, two train striking movement and long parched trunk door with stepped base beneath, height 242 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds on both trains and is currently ticking away and striking when advanced. The strike/silent mechanism operates. The date mechanism advances also. The hood has some damage to the top centre fretwork panel. There are nibbles to the veneer around the lock hole. There are numerous other small scratches and scuffs. The rear right hand upright moulding is missing. The left upright moulding which is made from softwood is wormed and partially missing. There is some other worm evident in the hood but this is minor and long gone. The trunk door is very slightly warped at the top left hand corner. If it were possible to lock the door (we have no key) the warp would not be visible. There are some minor traces of old woodworm to the top arch of the door and the odd hole in the sides of the case which are otherwise in very good condition. The clock base is missing its right hand return and some veneer around the front and bottom moulded edge. There are some woodworm holes across the centre of the base panel. The rear of the case and carcass are principally oak. The cheeks have not been built up and the seat board is original. The right hand side of the hood is missing its glass panel.
A pair of George III mahogany armchairs, with pair of matching side chairs, each upholstered in pink and beige foliate pattern material. CONDITION REPORT: All chairs are structurally sound with no loose joints. They have all however had numerous repairs. Both single chairs have had breaks to the stiles and repairs to the splat backs. The legs are however free from repairs. They have the usual marks and scuffs around the legs as one would expect and one has traces of old woodworm to the rear seat support. Both armchairs have had repairs where the arms join the stiles. They have also had breaks. There are two repairs to one arm. All arms have been strengthened where the bottom support joins the main frame of the seat. All chairs have clearly been very recently professionally re-upholstered and the seats and webbing are all in first class condition. They have a hard polish.
An Edwardian mahogany framed Bergere lounge suite, double caned. Settee width 190 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The height of the chairs from the top of the back rail to the floor is 87 cm. The seat height excluding the current later cushion is 27 cm from the bottom of the front foot to the top of the integral upholstered pad. The width between the arms is 67.5 cm, the depth of each chair from the centre of the bowed back to the front edge of the upholstered integral pad is 85.5 cm. The height of the settee from the top of the back rail to the floor excluding the later Shepherds castors is 70 cm. The height of the seat from the bottom of the foot to the top of the integrated upholstered section is 29.5 cm. Note - This excludes the later shepherds castors. Also note that each leg has clearly originally had castors which will have screwed onto the underside of each foot so the height in the case of both the settee and the chairs was probably a further 5 or 6 cm or so depending on the type of castors fitted. The settee width between the armchairs is 173 cm, depth 92.5 cm. Note - The seat heights on both the settee and chairs exclude the loose cushions.
A Regency oak and elm Windsor chair, with a curved fluted top rail, over a vase shaped splat with sunburst paterae, finely turned spindles, and spiral fluted columns, the arms of outswept form, on a saddle seat, raised on turned and spiral fluted legs united by a turned and fluted crinoline stretcher.
