A Victorian needlework sampler worked by Agnes Rachel. Dinah Jutson, Jan 30th 1856 aged 11 years, with verse 'The Mercy Seat, buildings, tree and foliage' 13' x 10 1/2'. Prov: Apparently Mr Fred Nicholls' mother and Agnes Jutson were cousins. Mrs Nicholls' grandmother and Jane Austen were cousins

A 17th century oak wainscot chair, the top rail carved 'WT 1686', above carved panel back, swept arms and baluster ring turned and block supports united by stretchers. CONDITION REPORT: Seat is replaced, construction where arms meet uprights looks a little off, please see photos for condition.

A circa 1900 Irish mahogany double chair back settee in the 18th century manner, the acanthus carved top rail above pierced splat and scrolling arms, with upholstered seat and floral carved apron raised on three elaborately scrolled front cabriole supports. CONDITION REPORT: No major areas of damage or repair, rubbing to top rail and raised parts as expected.
Lot 1891
A Regency rosewood and brass inlaid cellist's/music chair with bar back, padded adjustable seat with reeded legs to shaped peg feet. CONDITION REPORT: The bar back is broken and repaired to the right side. There are large screws holding the upright to the seat. General surface wear throughout.

Ï’A William IV mahogany reclining armchair, circa 1835, the button upholstered and shaped wing back, reclining and the seat rising when leant back against, the sprung seat flanked by padded arms with scroll terminals, on baluster turned and lappet carved tapering legs at the front, terminating in brass caps and castors, this chair is very likely made to a Daw's patent design, 111cm high, 79cm wide, 92cm deep, together with a mezzotint of The Waterloo Heroes Assembled at Apsley House, after John Prescott Knight (1803-1881) and engraved by Charles George Lewis (1808-1880), published 1st October 1845, image size 55.5cm x 87cm, rosewood frame 120cm x 89cm Provenance: Inverailort, Inverness-shire, the former home of General Sir Alexander Cameron KCB (1781-26 July 1850), known for his distinguished military career with the Rifle Brigade during the Napoleonic Wars, until wounded in the throat at Waterloo in 1815. Cameron saw no more active service after 1815, and his later years were marked only by promotions and honours. In October 1815 he was made a knight of the Russian Order of St Anne; in 1830 he was promoted Colonel; in 1832 he was appointed Deputy-Governor of St. Mawes; in 1838 he was promoted Major-General, and made a KCB; in 1846 he received the Colonelcy of the 74th Regiment. On 26 July 1850 he died at Inverailort. The chair was removed from Inverailort, circa 1996, and then by direct descent to the current owner. A Continental walnut and gilt metal mounted armchair, second quarter 19th century, the shaped rectangular padded back with three spherical finials and pierced patera mounts, above downswept arm supported by recumbent winged sphinx terminals, the padded seat above a sectional frieze and tapering legs surmounted by carved wing terminals and terminating in stylised lion paw feet, 100cm high, 75cm wide, 75cm deep overall
