A set of twelve cane and bamboo armchairs with lattice backs and loose seat cushions Provenance: Holcombe House, Painswick Condition Report: Seven of the chairs bear an ivorine label Dryad (Reg'd) Cane Furniture, Leicester, England. Most of the wicker binding in sound condition but some has come loose. Wicker seats in good condition. Crazing to bamboo armrests. Loose seat cushions are generally in rather poor condition.
A pair of George II mahogany side chairs with upholstered seats and padded backs, on acanthus carved cabriole legs and lion paw feet, upholstered in blue velvet/see illustration Provenance: Holcombe House, Painswick Condition Report: These are handsome chairs with later upholstery, the carving to the front legs is crisp but with wear, leg support brackets replaced and back rail to one chair built up, the seat rails appear old but we are unable to remove material from sides. The dimensions are 38" x 25" x 30"
