A Set of Nine Regency Oak Dining Chairs, 2nd quarter 19th century, the gadrooned curved top rails above horizontal splats and cream upholstered drop-in seats, raised on sabre forelegs, 41cm by 43cm by 88cm Chair 1 - later seat blocks, back left leg with dowel repair and split to top. Chair 2 - later seat blocks, both rear legs repaired. Chair 3 - later seat blocks, legs retipped Chair 4 - seat blocks added. Chair 5 - top rail repaired, back left foot retipped. Chair 6 - later seat blocks added. Chair 7 - later seat blocks added. Repairs to frame. Top rail later? Chair 8 - later seat blocks. Back left leg repaired, front legs slightly spliced. Carver - front forelegs with dowel repair. All chairs structurally sound. Drop-in seats reasonable, several with slight staining. 080313

An Edwardian Sheraton Revival Satinwood and Polychrome Painted Armchair, circa 1900, richly painted with floral swags, the pierced splat above outswept arms and serpentine overstuffed seat, raised on square tapering legs with spade feet, 54cm by 47cm by 94cm; and Three Single Chairs, to match, 49cm by 43cm by 91cm (4) Fabric on all chairs stained and faded. Armchair structurally sound. Minor natural? gaps at the joints. Decorative splat with small repair. General bruising and small losses throughout the frame consistent with age. Small minor split to arm support. Single chair 1 - back support/splat with small repair and further natural? splits. Framework with scuffs and faults consistent with age. An Orange Painted Windsor Armchair, probably West Country, early 19th century, with curved top rail above spindle supports and rectangular elm seat, raised on square chamfered legs, 58cm by 38cm by 93cm Later painted.
