Prince of Wales investiture chair, 1969, designed by the Rt. Hon. the Earl of Snowdon, Carl Toms and John Pound. Red stained beech, back with Prince of Wales's feather motif in gilt, the seat upholstered in red Welsh tweed, stamped to underside, 77.5cm high, 54cm wide. [The investiture of the current Prince of Wales was held at the Medieval Caernarfon Castle in July 1969]. Provenance: Margaret Bide Collection.

A Victorian Howard & Sons walnut buttoned back nursing chair, the back with original Howard & Sons floral pattern fabric, the seat later upholstered, on turned legs, fitted brass castors, W.58.5cm D.81.5cm H.86.5cmCONDITION: Original Howard & Sons fabric now very faded and discoloured with tearing around the top, does not appear to have been retained on the seat, springing popping through underneath the seat, castors appear unsigned.
