CONDITION REPORT: All of the portraits in this single owner collection were purchased approximately 25 years ago from reputable picture dealers. These are lots 767 to 783 inclusive. All of the paintings are well presented and any restoration work will have been undertaken at this time. We have provided reports on an individual basis. This painting could be hung in its present condition without the need for any repair or restoration. UV light reveals minor marks to the forehead and across the bridge of the nose, chin and left cheek. To the right hand side of the face there appears to be some discolouration to the paint which may have been overpainted in places. The same applies to the bottom left hand edge, top left hand corner and centre section above the head.
A pair of Edwardian inlaid mahogany armchairs, with shield shaped backs, upholstered seats and tapered legs of square section terminating in spade feet. CONDITION REPORT: Both chairs are serviceable but due to their generally insubstantial nature they are more decorative than practical and both have had some repairs. The back to one chair is in good condition with no issues. The stiles, real supports and rear legs are in good order with no issues. Both arms are slightly loose where they join the shield back and there is evidence of minor repairs at these points and a crack to the right hand arm support. Both arms are also loose where they join the arm support. The left hand arm has an old repair. The turned bottom arm supports are in good order as are the front legs and front rail. The upholstered seat is in generally good condition with no staining or tearing. There is no evidence of any woodworm. The back of the second chair is in generally good condition. The arms are sound at the sides of the back. They are both however slightly loose at the joints and there are small stress fractures on both arms. The stile supports, rear and front legs are all in good condition. The upholstery is in good order with no tears or staining. As stated the chairs are serviceable and are both of good colour but are more decorative than practical.

The arms are in good order as is the box seat. There are some minor areas of old woodworm on the rear supports and seat but this has long gone and is in our opinion not problematic.
