A late Victorian armchair, upholstered in green velvet type material and turkey patterned panels. Height to top of back 86 cm, width across arms 70 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The chair is structurally sound with no loose joints. The upholstery is in reasonably good condition with no protruding springs. Both the back and seat are firm. The upholstery is generally very serviceable with no holes or significant stains. All woodwork is original and there does not seem to be any evidence of any significant damage, repairs or restoration. The castors are original and secure.
An Edwardian oak box settle, with low carved back, scroll arms hinged seat and carved panelled front. Height 78 cm, width 106 cm, depth 32 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The settle is structurally sound. There are no loose joints. The back, arms and seat top are in good condition. The front carved panel is a little dirty and dusty but again has no issues. The front legs are in good order. The rear right hand leg has a small loss right at the wall side. In our opinion this is not a significant issue. There is no evidence of any woodworm.
A set of six Victorian dining chairs, with bowed top rails, stuffover serpentine fronted seats and raised on front cabriole legs. CONDITION REPORT: All chairs are structurally sound with no significantly loose joints. There are also no significant breaks or any substantial repairs. One chair has been drilled an pegged between the stile and back rail however the repair is effective although visible on close inspection. All chairs have traces of old and what appears to be long gone woodworm. The upholstery is generally in good order. One chair has some minor staining to the seat. All chairs have the usual scuffs and marks that one would expect through general use.
A Victorian Chesterfield settee, deep buttoned in brown velvet type material and raised on turned front legs terminating in castors. Height 74 cm, width +/- 196 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The settee is structurally very sound with no loose joints. The upholstery is in generally good order and looks to be fairly recent. All deep buttons are present and both the seat and back are firm. There are no protruding springs beneath. The legs are a little marked and scratched as one would expect but they are all original and in good order. The castors appear to be original also.
