A pair of late Victorian rosewood side chairs in the manner of Collinson & Lock, the eared and scroll carved top rail above a pierced splat back, one ivory inlaid grotesque decoration the other with very similar decoration but relief carved, to a stuffed-over seat on cabriole legs and pad feet. (2)
A George III mahogany open armchair, possibly by Gillows, the solid splat to a stuffed-over seat on moulded front legs united by an `H` stretcher, together with another mahogany open armchair and a mahogany side chair with a pierced splat. (3) The `V` shape mitre apparent on the `H` stretcher was used by Gillows in the 18th century, see Stuart, Susan E., Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840, Volume 1, page 146.
