Antique American Edwardian Period Platform Rocking ChairLate 19th to early 20th century AD. A wood framed upholstered rocking chair in stained and varnished beech (or pine?); the frame and platform with turned strechers and elements, reeding and carved motifs; the rocking mechanism fitted with coil springs; later beige velvet upholstery to seat and back. 58cm wide x 103cm tall Property of an Essex gentleman; by inheritance. This form of rocking chair, where the chair sits on a separate platform and is fitted with springs, appeared in north America in the second half of the 19th century; the form has the advantage of being more stable and less likely to `creep` when used than the traditional type. A Victorian simulated rosewood stained beech child's high chair with caned seat and an oak framed cheval mirror CONDITION REPORTS Mirror has wear etc. conducive with age and use. High chair, front rail appears to have been replaced, there is a split along one arm rail, back bottom left hand leg has a chunk missing, caneing is worn and will need some attention in the near future, has general wear etc. conducive with age and use. A brass club fender with cream leather upholstered seat CONDITION REPORTS Internal measurements approx. 182 x 23 cm, this measured in the seat. Seat covers are very worn, split. The base is tarnished and in need of a good clean. Appears structurally sound. There are some areas of pitting. Wear, dirt etc conducive with age and use.

WORLD CUP 58 TICKETS Excellent booklet of tickets for the 1958 World Cup Finals in Sweden. Tickets are in the original booklet of seven tickets for games in Stockholm, five have not been used and counterfoils are still attached. These are for games 1 (8/6/58), 9 (11/6/58), 16 (12/6/58) and 17 (15/6/58), all group games, plus game 25, Quarter-Final (19/6/58). The other tickets have counterfoils removed as they have been used and are for game 29, Semi-Final (24/6/58) and for the Final, game 32, (29/6/58). Very scarcely seen in original booklets. All are for the same seat in the Stockholm (Solna) Stadium. Good

Follower of Jacob van Stry (Dutch, early 19th Century) - Study of a Bull and cow in a landscape, oil on panel, 21 x 29 cm. Provenance: Warwick Castle, formerly the seat of the Earls of Warwick Uneven surface texture. Paint stable and secure. Painting very dark due in part to degrading paint layer. Very dirty and the blacks are coalescing and bubbling in the bottom half of the painting. Sunned and the paint has popped, dried and bubbled.
