An early 20th century Sheraton Revival inlaid parlour settee, richly decorated with satinwood inlaid floral motifs, upholstered in a lemon floral fabric, raised on shaped supports, 84cm high x 100cm wide x 48cm deep CONDITION REPORT: Lot 372 - Good overall condition, upholstery has minor marks, back right panel has old split to top and base, back left leg has been re-pinned and repaired at top, colour slightly faded, frame is tight, some scuffs and scrapes as with age. 40cm high to seat.
A Coalbrookdale 'Italian' pattern cast iron seat, late 19th century, recently repainted and new wooden slats fitted, 190 by 68 by 84cm high. This seat is number 17 in the 1875 Coalbrookdale Castings Catalogue, section III, page 249. The design was registered at the Public Record Office No. 50652, circa 1850.
An 18th century mahogany worshipful masters chair, of large and oversize proportion, decorated all over with Masonic ciphers and devices Records show that in 1759 the members of the lodge ordered a chair to be made for the master. James Telford was tasked with the making of the chair and Samuel Leathwick with the carving. Brother Wood of the lodge dealt with the painting and gilding of the chair.
