Mid-Century Danish lounge chair, designed by Hans Wegner for Getama, model GE-240, shaped oak frame, pale orange fabric upholstered seat pads, branded marks, width 67cm, depth 78cm, height 74cm.Condition report:The frame is very rigid and free from any splits. The only main concern is that the four screws that secure the back to the main frame are missing, resulting in the back being removable. There is a slight notch to the right hand arm (as you face the chair) but no other scars or heavy scratches. The main concern is the colour finish to the tops of the arms and rear of the back. The rest of the frame has a good rich honeyed oak colour, but the top of the arms and back are heavily bleached - possibly just through sunlight rather than being sanded. The springs to the webbing is fine. The cushions have spot staining but have retained their shape, but would need re-upholstery to comply with present-day fire regulations.
