There are two splits in the legs, along with a few other splits, knocks, and wear from use.The back panel is somewhat worn it is unclear what has caused this, it does not appear to be woodworm.

Early 19th century, with spindle back and turned legs, with traces of original green paint, height 95cm, width 72cm, depth 45cm, height to seat 44cm.The chair is stable, with no obvious movement.It has had repairs over the years. One of the front legs could be an older replacement. The hoop has been repaired where it joins the arms, with an applied thick layer of 'lacquer' which has also been applied to the seat. There is a little historic inactive woodworm on the hoop and the seat.

There is a replaced strip on the seat panel.The rear legs have been raised a little on blocks, a few signs of very historic worm, general knocks and wear. The chair is sturdy and stable.
