A 17th Century Oak Wainscot Chair. The back panel inlaid with a marquetry knot below a carved guilloche banded arch and foliate spandrels. The cresting rail enriched with scrolling strapwork. The down-swept arms on rising baluster turned posts leading down to the planked seat, nulled seat rail and turned legs united by peripheral stretchers.
A Rare Windsor Armchair by Gillows Circa 1800. The hoop back with ten long spindles piercing the arm bow, flanked by three further underarm spindle either side. The elm seat on turned legs united by a turned front stretchers with splayed side stretchers connecting it to the rear legs, 38½ ins (98 cms) high, 21½ ins (54.5 cms) wide, 23½ ins (60 cms) deep.

The pierced back decorated with undulating scrolls of foliage and having a crested top rail between figural carved side supports depicting winged angels with gilded tunics metamorphosing into scrolls of foliage. A 19th Century Yew-wood Corner Chair. The arm bow with a raised section to the back carved with a Masonic emblem above fretted splats alternated with baluster turned posts. The square padded drop-in seat covered in woolwork and standing on square legs united by peripheral stretchers, 31½ ins (80 cms) high, 26½ ins (67 cms) wide.
A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Scottish Joined Ash & Pine Arm Chair. The open rectangular framed back with a plain centre splat and slightly splayed sides, padded by a slot on cushion of brown coarsely woven fabric matching the swab cushion of the pine planked seat. The arms on turned supports leading down to turned legs with square feet united by peripheral stretchers. 34½ ins (88 cms) high, 24½ ins (62 cms) wide, the seat 13½ ins (33 cms) high.
A William & Mary Stool. The padded seat with re-entrant corner quadrants covered in a sculpted crimson velvet edged with tasselled fringing. The voluted S-scroll legs united by a scrolling X-form stretcher with an turned urn finial to the centre, 16½ ins (42 cms) high, 19 ins x 16 ins (48 cm x 41 cms).
A Dug-out Rustic Armchair of Bold Proportions. The thick winged tub back hewn from an early tree with a knot hole and substantial crack to the back secured by an iron strap. A Small Flemish Carved Oak Folding Chair with slung leather seat. The back having a shaped cresting rail elaborately carved with cherubs to the front and foliage to the back, above two arcaded tiered of turned spindles. The folding X-frame supports enriched with scrolling scaly sea creatures and surmounted by heraldic lion finials, 30 ins (76 cms) high, 17 ins (43 cms) wide. [A very similar design chair was sold on The Nicholas Landau et Jaqueline Goldman Colletion, Sotheby's April 2013].

The tall ash back hoop framing a shaped centre splat with Christmas tree fretting flanked by eight spindles leading down to the three part arm bow above a further underarm splat and baluster turned supports. An 18th Century Pine Monk's Bench/Table. The elongated oval twin-plank back pivoting to form the table top secured by an iron catch and stamped with ownership initials AAS repeated on the seat rail. Standing on cabriole legs united by an H-form stretcher, 51 ins (130 cms) high as a chair, 29 ins (74 cms) table height, the top/back 38 ins x 21 ins (97 cm x 53 cms).
A Late 18th/Early 19th Century Country Windsor Armchair. The bowed cresting rail above eight spindles with ball knop turning to each end, turned side supports with baluster under arm spindles leading down to a generous D-shaped slab seat morticed through and wedged with four splayed legs, 33 ins (84 cms) high, 27 ins (69 cms) wide, 19 ins (48 cms) deep.
An Unusual Joined Oak Armchair with pegged bar tray to the front. The broad shaped cresting rail carved with initials HB and date 1718 between daisy wheels defined against a recessed pitted ground with raised edging and lobed terminals. The uprights adorned with split spindles and flanked by scrolling 'ear-pieces' either side of the plain back panel. The shaped arm rests with turned finial pegs to the front securing a detachable tray above fillet turned baluster posts leading to a plank seat on turned legs with stretchers. 41 ins (104 cms) high, 29½ ins (75 cms) wide, 21¼ ins (54 cms) deep.
A Charming Early 18th Century Joined Oak Wing Armchair of fine colour and patination. The tall panel back with domed cresting rail carved with a plant issuing a petalled roundel flanked by heart shaped pendant leaves defined against a pitted recessed ground. The flat plank arms with pad terminals above side panels and bobbin turned front posts leading down to a plank seat. The moulded seat rails drilled for previous robe webbing, standing on turned front legs flanking a panel front, with plain rear legs united by side stretchers. 50½ ins (128 cms) in height, 26 ins (66 cms) wide.
A Splendid 17th Century Yorkshire Carved Oak Wainscot Chair inlaid with chevron banding, of good rich colour & patination. The deep shaped cresting rail carved with scrolled channels enriched with punchwork. The panel back initialled S.W. and having a daisy wheel to each corner with an elaborate quatrefoil design to the centre framed in a lozenge issuing fluttering pennants with trefoil terminals. The down-swept silhouette cut plank arms with scroll ends resting on baluster turned posts leading down to the plank seat. The gun barrel turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, 49 ins (124.5 cms) high, 23 ins (58 cms) wide.
A Fine 17th Century Oak Wainscot Chair attributed to Lancashire. The raked back having a pierced cresting rail of linked C-scrolls above a geometrically moulded back panel inlaid with bone. The silhouette cut scroll end arms on baluster posts leading to a plank seat raised on fillet turned legs united by an egg & reel front stretcher and a conforming H-form under-stretcher.
A Late 17th/ Early 18th Joined Oak Settle. The back having four fielded panels below a carved rail of undulating foliage. The planked seat once roped through pierced holes to the moulded rails, standing on six turned legs united by a foliate carved front stretcher and plain stretcher to the rear, 43 ins (109 cms) high, 72 ins (183 ms) in length.
