A Fine Set of Ten Mahogany Dining Chairs including two Carvers with ivorine maker's labels; Weir & Hamilton, Woodlands Road, Glasgow. Each chair having an open carved back with moulded splats looped and swept into an inverted shell form above two guilloche twist rings leading down to the back of the seat, and restrained sprays of acanthus carved along the cresting rail. The padded saddle seats covered in drab/brown fabric embroidered with bouquets of flowers in coloured wools and standing on cabriole legs with scroll crested hips and ball & claw feet.
