Fringe is very worn. Stains, marks, bright orange stain to the centre. Other various stains. Various signs of general wear and tear throughout.
A circa 1900 buttoned red leather upholstered Chesterfield sofa on turned and ringed front legs to castors CONDITION REPORTS Approx. 188cm wide end of arm to end of arm. All cracked and worn. Some staining. Seat padding could use attention. Some holes in the leather. Legs some small scratches and chips. One particularly ripped and shows signs of repairs. Big rip to the back.
A pine farmhouse kitchen table, the plank top with cleated ends on square supports united by a centre stretcher, together with a single plank top bench seat CONDITION REPORTS Length 200 cm approximately, width 100 cm approximate and height 77 cm approximately. Numerous heavy surface scratches, gouges and accretions to the wood. Areas of paint splatter, both to the legs and the top of the table. Some splitting of the wood, mainly at the side. Staining and discolouration in areas. The bench has numerous surface scratches, heavy scratches, scuffs, gouges to the wood, staining and wear, fading, accretions and areas of paint splatter. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. Also to the underside of the table there is a split to one of the beads. See photos for details.
A composite set of four 19th Century Thames Valley kichen chairs of gothic form, the yew wood 'arch' backs over shaped elm seats on turned and ringed supports united by crinoline stretchers, together with a near matching carver chair with H stretcher CONDITION REPORTS One chair has splits to the seat, fading, discolouration, break to the crinoline stretcher and old repair. Legs appear to be cut down at the front. Another has damage to the seat and appears to have been filled. One back leg is loose and appears to be a replacement. Damage to the stretcher, again the front legs appear to have been cut. The carver chair has again repairs throughout, noticeably to the front leg seat area and the bottom of the right hand arm. Heavy splitting to one back leg as well as splits throughout. Another chair has been repaired/patched to the top right hand corner of the back as well as to the seat which is wobbly. The front legs have been cut, repairs to the stretcher. The final chair has been cut, there are splits to the seat, repairs to the stretcher, signs of old worm, possible replacement back leg and stretcher. All chairs have wear and tear conducive with age and use to include splits, repairs, scuffs, replacements, scratches etc - see images for more details
