A David Seyfried Howard style armchair and matching footstool upholstered in Fermoie Hertford striped fabric.Condition ReportBoth chair and footstool are in good condition with no visible sign of staining or wear to the arms or back. Chair height 84cms, width 74cms and depth 85cms, cushion width 79cms, footstool width 82cms, depth 53cms and height 48cms, colour closer to purple / burgundy than pink. Seat and stool cushions are feather filled, the seat pad is foam filled.
A Rupert Bevan Croft desk chair in oxblood leather.Condition ReportThe red leather on the seat pad has a couple of light scratch marks and some minor creasing and the arms have a little discolouration where people have handled the leather, structurally sound with a few very small knocks to the wooden lacquered finish. Seat height from floor approx 46cms, 75cms high overall.

The seat is a replica using original fittings, the seat adjustment is not working. It was on display at Duxford on the only known example of a Hadley Page Hermes which flew from London to South Africa taking 3 days. There was only 1st class with a make-up girl on board so the ladies could arrive looking their best, the average person could buy a house for the same amount the flight cost, so it was for the rich only. aviation
