An Austin J40 Roadster pedal car. The classic pedal car produced by The Austin Motor Company from 1949. Manufactured by disabled miners in South Wales. This example is in ‘barn find’ condition, but appears to be complete, although it does not display a ‘Flying A’ bonnet motif. It has been repainted dark green and has original tyres, hub caps, front & rear bumpers, dummy ‘engine’ with spark plugs and leads. Equipped with green leather seat, three wire-spoke steering wheel, horn button and facia detail. Complete with head-lights, number plates and opening boot lid. A superbly detailed Franklin Mint 1:24 scale 1968 Airstream caravan The removable roof with fan and vents reveals a fascinating detailed interior featuring double sink, gas hob, fridge/freezer, kitchen cupboard/work top, table, bench seat, bunks, wardrobes and curtains. Also includes opening side door with fly screen, working awning, gas cylinders and authentic raising/lowering tow bar. VGC. See illustration.
A late 1970’s Corgi prototype/mock-up James Bond Aston Martin DB5. Purchased from an ex senior Corgi employee approximately 15 years ago. The model is based on the larger 3rd type casting released in 1977. Roughly painted in silver, the front machine guns and bumper over riders are fixed items, as is the rear bullet shield. The passenger is glued into the ejector seat, which in turn has no spring. The base is fixed by 3 small brass screws as on prototypes of this period so as to enable the model makers to adjust the components within the vehicle. The vehicle comes with a letter from the owner.
