A walnut framed four seater settee probably Whytock & Reid or Morrison & Co., Edinburgh, designed by Sir Robert Lorimer, (1864 - 1929), the scroll back above a deep shaped seat on hoof carved feet joined by a cross stretcher, 260cm wide x 74cm deep x 98cm high Ex. Rowallan Castle, Ayrshire Lorimer worked in The Scots Baronial style at Rowallan in 1903. Later also at Ardkinglas (1906), Formakin (1912), Lennoxlove (1912), Marchmont (1914) and many other notable Scottish Country Houses
