In our estimation, there is no great age to this, perhaps Victorian or maybe later. Generally, the frame is sturdy, no play in the joints and the top is firm.

The next chair with minor scratching to the woodwork and evidence of historic woodworm around the seat. The next chair with evidence of historic woodworm to the back of the seat, minor cracking at the top of the splat, and evidence of repair to the seat frame.
