A 17th century oak, bog oak and holly inlaid wainscot chair, the carved arch top rail above lozenged detailed panelled back, flanked by the bog oak and holly inlaid vertical sections with incised decorated scrolling arms, planked seat and block and turned legs.Additional InformationPlease note, this will be an extensive condition report but does not detract from the originallity of this chair. It has been in the same family for generations and is a tired example but original and has not been messed about with. The plank seat is split and loose, there are also chips to the front of the plank seat the whole frame is very loose, the top rail is very dry and it has a split to one side, there are numerous marks of surface wear throghout, a couple of the diamond lozenges are missing to the inlay. It appears the chair does not have ears missing, we cannot see the marks.

MP of Walton Hall for exhibiting the best Cow or Heifer in Milk or in Calf 1946 and for exhibiting the best yearling Heifer of any breed in 1948. Set within a glass case with white metal surround. The front of the medal beautifully decorated with Farm animals. Gross weight per medal; 47.19gGreenall was the sixth and youngest son of Edward Greenall of Walton Hall, Cheshire. In 1847 Greenall was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for Warrington, a seat he held until 1868.
