A set of twenty four Victorian walnut framed library chairs, top rails with reeded decoration flanked by reeded supports on turned and ringed front legs, with Rexine upholstered back panels and seats (23 +1 carver) CONDITION REPORTS All chairs have surface scratches, scuffs, knocks and dents to the wood. Areas of fading and discoloration to the wood. There are scuffs and scratches and splits to the upholstery also some of the upholstery is coming away. Wear to some of the studs. Some of the chairs have different coloured upholstery, some are dark red or burgundy others are a lighter red, fading and some cracks to the Rexine in areas. One of the chairs has a split to the wood at the top of one of the back legs. There is evidence of old repair to the back of the arms on the carver. All chairs have accretions. Evidence of some old glue to one of the back seat joints on one of the chairs. All chairs have general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. Height of the chairs is approx. 90.5 cm, the width approx. 46 cm and the depth approx. 46 cm. Seat height is 50 cm approx. The carver height is 98.5 cm approx, width approx. 61 cm, depth approx. 52 cm and seat height of the carver is approx. 54 cm. All chairs are solid walnut and not veneered.
