1922 AEC (Associated Equipment Co Ltd) brass BUS CHASSIS PLATE from London General/London Transport S 512, a 30-seat single-deck version. Originally fitted with solid tyres, S 512 entered service at Kingston (K) garage in October 1922, passed to London Transport in 1933 and was finally withdrawn at Harrow Weald (HD) garage in June 1936. Subsequent history unknown but it may have been used as a chicken shed or similar which enabled this artefact to survive. Size: 7.75" (20cm) x 4.5" (11cm). In good ex-vehicle condition [1]
