Front panel, hem, vent and collar trimmed in black textured lace cloth tape, double vent at rear. Hidden fly front with nine hook and eye closure extending to collar. Collar insignia rank of Lieutenant Commander, dark blue rectangular cloth tabs with two gilt metallic tresse stripes and one silver metal cherry blossom, hand-applied. Sleeve rank of one small black fabric tresse stripe at bottom and two larger gilt metallic tresse stripes above, the top stripe forming a loop, machine-applied. Medal bar pinned to left breast. Lined in black cotton twill, no identification labels. Dark-blue textured wool long pants, five-button hidden fly, slash hip pockets, large loops for waist belt, partial white cotton lining, manufacturer tag attached, small holes in seat of pantsand leg. English School - painted hatchment with heraldry that suggests it represents a member of the family of the Montagu Dukes of Manchester, whose seat was in Kimbolton, Huntingdonshire, inscribed 'Disponendo me-non Mutando me', oil and gilding on metal, mounted in a lozenge ebonised painted frame, overall height including frame 29.5" x 22.25" wide** Montagu Dukes of Manchester, whose seat was in Kimbolton, Huntingdonshire. They originated as a younger branch of the Montagus of Boughton, Northamptonshire, in Tudor times. The Cadency marks in the arms suggest it was for the fourth son of a second son of the house, and a tentative proposal is Capt. Henry Bernard Montagu RN, who died in 1941.** With due acknowledgement to The Heraldry Society who have kindly assisted and supplied the above information for reference.

Purchased from Glaisher and Nash Ltd, London in June 1966 where it was sold as 'by Thomas Hope, circa 1810'

A Circa 1930's Bakelite 'ARt Deco' Style Model of a Streamline 2-Seat Open Tourer Motor Car by Codeg, mottled brown Bakelite body with moulded black plastic wheels, Codeg Manufacturers mark to rear number plate and 'Made In England' to underside, hole in bumper for pull along string, windscreen present, length 34cm, presented within a scratch built wooden presentation box.
A 19th century ash, elm and Fruitwood Windsor armchair. Carved S I? to the rear of the seat, height 88cm width 51cm depth 46cm.There are signs of historic woodworm, particularly to the top of the hoop. Both arms have been repaired and one is slightly loose. The splat back has been split and repaired. Please see our website for additional images of affected areas.

With adze carved ladder back over a rush seat on tapering splayed supports and stretchers, height 84cm width 57.5cm depth 52cm.Some movement to joints, repair to the armrest, evidence of historical worm with general wear, and small chips commensurate with age. A 17th century North Country bobbin Wainscot chair. With a shaped top rail, central carved lozenge and bobbin stretcher, height 104.5cm width 65cm depth 45cm.There are two patches on the seat and also a split.There is evidence of a certain amount of gluing on the underside, especially to the rear of the seat and on one of the joints.One arm has a little movement, but generally, the chair is sturdy, with little movement.There is a little historic woodworm visible on the back of the two horizontal rails, this is inactive.The carving on the back panel is crisp and well defined, possibly later?We have uploaded extra images to the website.
A beech and elm Windsor chair by Samuel Snawdon, Yealmpton. With stick back, stamped mark, together with three other stick-back Windsor chairs (4).The Snawdon chair is in a good sturdy condition with firm joints but with a small amount of movement on the stick backs, the three other stick backs have firm joints, one of the backrest supports is split away from the seat.
A 19th century elm and fruitwood West Country comb back Windsor armchair. Height 104cm width 62cm depth 43cm.Wear commensurate with age and usage, all joints are stable and firm, with old repairs and worm, two of the comb back sticks with a split, no obvious signs of the legs being cut down, height to seat 39cm. A Georgian oak longcase clock, the brass dial engraved Tipton Ludlow, 206cm highThe pendulum is broken and lost its suspension. The seat board is broken, all in need of restoration. Both lower pillars have been cut to allow chain movement. However, the movement and dial seem to fit. holes in the hood frieze- they look to be deliberate. Hands are missing.
