A set of ten 19th century simulated rosewood dining chairs, each with an x frame back and upholstered seat. Provenance: Christie's, The Manor House, Little Marlow, 1998Condition report: Overall solid and usable. The seats are stable, but quite marked from use. The frames have light marks from use, chips and knocks. Unrestored. Some of the joints are not tight, but stable. They look to be continental in style and to date from the early to mid 19th century.

A Danish 1960s tan leather two-seater sofa, having cushioned upholstery and raised on beech square block supports, w.138cmCondition report: Depth 80cm, height to back 73cm, height to seat 40cm.Structurally sound.Leather is very faded/bleached throughout.Numerous scuffs, scratches and stains to leather.Supports scuffed and faded.
Göte Möbler - a 1960s Swedish tan leather and curved plywood armchair, having hinged backrest, labelled verso, w.79cm; together with a matching stool, labelled to underside, w.58cm (2)Condition report: Overall wear and fatigue to the leather, particularly to arms, head rest and front of seat.Cracking and darkening of colour to head rest section.Colour of frame worn and faded throughout.
A 1960s G-Plan teak dining suite, comprising; D-end extending dining table, having pull-out action and single fold-out leaf, labelled verso, max length 170cm, h.73cm, d.122cm; together with a set of six barback pad back and fixed pad seat dining chairs, on turned supports to X-framed lower stretchers, each w.46cm (7)Condition report: Chairs – seat w.46cm, depth including back rest 49cm, each structurally sound and complete, upholstery generally quite grubby, some white residue, frames with some age wear.Table – stands well, areas of scuffs and scratches to top surface, approx. 12x10cm heat mark, central leaf slightly darker colour than main top surface.

AN ITALIAN CARVED WALNUT 'GROTTO' CHAIR POSSIBLY VENETIAN, SECOND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY 93cm high, 48cm wide, 39cm deep Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use. Some old repairs including several to the feet incorporating some possible small old spliced elements . Filler repair to details of the feet disguises some old losses. Old cracks, chips and splits. some old chips of loss. some minor division between joints in some areas but the chair remains of solid structure. Two old visible indented marks to the uppermost section of the back (seat side) (see additional image) Other apparent obvious marks are where dowel/ peg joints have had some minor surface losses. Some losses have been attempted to be disguised by filler previously (see images) . Sympathetic treatment to the surface by an experienced and qualified restorer could further improve the appearance of minor faults/ colouring issues The chair is of solid structurePlease refer to the additional images for visual reference to condition. A LARGE HARDWOOD BENCH20TH CENTURYapproximately 88cm high, 244cm wide, 68cm deepCondition Report: Weathered. Surface is fairly grey with green litchen areas- bleached.Loss to top of one end post- the other with crack- some other wear to margins and bases of back posts- some buckling and movement to seat slats- both horizontally and vertically- but difficult to photograph. Some later screws to fix the slats down- one slat with crack- visible beneath seat arm. Condition Report Disclaimer
A LARGE REFORMED GOTHIC STYLE WOODEN BENCHCIRCA 187088cm high, 315cm wideCondition Report: There are marks, scratches, chips, splits, cracks, abrasions consistent with age and use.Overall the piece is weathered and sun faded.The bench is on grass and appears to sit level.The back has 'pew' book rests.The seat depth 34cm; the depth overall 78cm.There are water marks to the back of the bench.The bench has some damage to the parts that sit directly on the grass.Please refer to the additional images for a visual reference of condition.Condition Report Disclaimer
A RARE CARRON FOUNDRY CAST IRON SEATLATE 19TH CENTURYBack stamped Carron and with diamond registration marks91cm high, 157cm wide, 43cm deep The design for this seat, number 34358, was registered and patented by the Carron Foundry, Carron, Stirlingshire, on the 16th March 1846. Founded 1759, The Carron Foundry initially specialized in producing cannon and in 1773 the Company was granted a Royal Charter and became a major supplier of cannon during the Napoleonic wars. This became so successful that the firm had its own fleet of armed ships to transport the cannon from Scotland to the Woolwich arsenal. By the mid-19th century the company had expanded its production to include garden seats, stick stands and fire grates.Condition Report: weathering with paint loss and oxidisation.Vertical crack to right of central top scroll- approx 6" long- runs through into next smaller section of 1"Front frieze with similar vertical crack roughly to centreCondition Report Disclaimer
