A fine and rare Gothic Windsor chair in yew and elm/Provenance: Sam Wolsey/see illustration Condition Report: Central splat split to right hand side and scratches and pitting to arch, split and repair to left hand side, seat with scratches acceptable with age. Seat split underneath and at both front leg joints. Crinoline split but generally chair in good condition.

A Champion Wilton side saddle and cover Condition Report: The saddle seat measures 17” from front to back. The seat and upper flaps look generally in fair condition with a few scuffs and a couple of holes (worm?) near the pommel. The upper leg support has a stitched repair to the tip; the lower support has a small hole near tip. The metal element under one flap has been heavily greased. The under flaps have signs of old repairs and some damage. The padding beneath these flaps is coming out, this area is in poor condition and it would need to be repaired by a saddler. There is a felt numnah in the lot and also a canvas cover. Owing to the specialist nature of this lot we highly recommend viewing prior to bidding.
