1970 Volkswagen T2 Door Dormobile Campervan. Registration: JNO744H. Mileage: 109,576.- Rare and and original Volkswagen T2 Campervan converted in 1970 by Dormobile- Only two owners from new- Interior in excellent condition with many upgradesThe current owners bought the campervan in 1999 and since then have done a lot of camping and a range of restoration/repairs as well as upgrade work. It has been stored under cover since 2003. The interior is in really excellent condition, largely original (including Grundig radio) except for the curtains and rear seat fabrics/carpet, which have all been carefully replaced. The two bunks in the roof have hardly been used and look new. The kitchen works perfectly, including the original gas stove. The van sleeps 4 two adults in the rear double bed, and two children in the roof bunks. Four can sit round the table on two buddy seats and the bench seat. The bodywork is in very good condition all round the bumpers were recently re-sprayed and the two front doors professionally repaired to remove all rust. The many upgrades include front disc brakes, modern stereo hidden in the glove box, stainless steel exhaust, bespoke tow bar, and several modifications to the original single port engine (twin carbs, alternator, electronic ignition). They have had over 20 years of fun with this van, and have maintained and improved it lovingly with the help of a friendly VW specialist. Its great for camping and we always get people coming over to have a chat and a good look.
