A good mid century teak wood extending dining table and chairs set in the manner of G-Plan librenza. Raised on an ebonised base with fitted frieze and tapering legs, above a large teak wood table top with additional leaf set to centre. Good seat of chairs with show wood frames and pad seats and backrests. Table measures 75cm tall by 90cm wide and 140cm deep.
BINDER, EDWARDS AND VAUGHAN. Collection of 22 pages, many from a circa A5 notebook, all bearing original sketches in various inks (though mostly ballpoint pen) by members of the seminal design collective BEV (Binder, Edwards and Vaughan). One page bears handwritten note: "Designs for: 7 Pub Tables, 1 Love Seat, 1 Scotch Chests..." Provenance: Discovered by a builder/property developer at a property on Market Street, Stalybridge in 1998. NOTE - two of the sketches included in this lot, seen in the lower right and left corner of the second image have been identified as later works by David Vaughan and not by the BEV collective.

A 19TH CENTURY ANGLO INDIAN ORNATELY CARVED HARDWOOD CHAIR, the pierced back with three exotic birds above foliate scrolls, circular tapestry seat above a band of flower buds between four winged beast headed legs with a bird on each paw foot, leaf stretchers and carved pendant, overall height 97.5cm and height to seat 45cm (condition: the back is not firm and has large old screws fastening the back to the base with old filled holes, one of the winged sections between the legs is loose but still attached)

Svendborg is a town on the island of Funen in south-central Denmark, and the seat of Svendborg Municipality. Condition: Excellent condition, minor creasing.. Original vintage travel advertising poster for Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a ski town in Bavaria, southern Germany. It is the seat of government of the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen (abbreviated GAP), in the Oberbayern region, which borders Austria. Nearby is Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze, at 2,962 m (9,718 ft.). The town is known as the site of the 1936 Winter Olympic Games, the first to feature alpine skiing. It is also a favoured holiday spot for skiing, snowboarding, and hiking, having some of the best skiing areas (Garmisch Classic and Zugspitze) in Germany. During World War II, Garmisch-Partenkirchen was a major hospital center for the German military. After the war, it was used by the U.S. military as a recreation center for U.S. military men stationed in Europe and their families. The poster features an artwork of an Alpine scene in Spring, with the snowy mountains and a lake in the background. A white baby goat chews on a yellow flower, possibly the Alpine globeflower, and stands on a sloping, grassy hill with red, yellow and purple flowers, possibly the spring crocus. Now in private ownership, Nero is a 1915 Burrell 5nhp Showman's Road Locomotive and was originally supplied new to Bostock and Wombwell's Travelling Circus, hauling loads from Glasgow to Cornwall.
