Sporting Medals for Cycling (2), enamelled silhouetted cyclist in glazed 'capstan' mount, c. 1890's, the gilt reverse with engraved details, 27mm, with 430mm square linked chain attached; ornate engraved silver cross, 1890, "16 Mile Road Race 2nd prize won by Wm Aitken", 31mm; Horizontal Bar, First Prize, silver cross with enamelled roundel (of a hurdler), 1892 "To W Rowbottom by the Hinkley Christian Institute Gymnasium", 36mm, this with heavy chain. (2) It is uncertain whether the second would have been raced for with fixed-wheel or chain driven bicycles.
